WW2 Soviet M1941 glass canteen. Rare! Original item! During the first years of the GPW, when the Soviet country lacked aluminium due to plane production, a new practice of producing some equipment(s.a. canteens, detonators, grenades "Molotov's cocktail", engineer mines, etc.) of glass appeared. 1956 Hungarian bourgeous rebellian memory canteen.
Very interesting relic item! It is devoted to one of the unknown pages of the History of Socialism - there was an anti-communism bourgeous rebellian in Hungary in 1956. There was much blood, many victims, however Soviet Army devastated its leaders and activists. So, Hungary was in Socialist Camp till 1990s.
Most probably, this canteed belonged to one of the particiopants of the rebellian(Soviet sergeant Климов С. В.) and was produced as a reminder of that military conflict. It portrays famous WW2 Soviet tank T-34 with the Red Banner - as a symbol of Victory. The marking says: "Hungary, 1956". The canteen had been produced on the Leningrad plant Красный Выборжец in 1956. Extremely rare original item! The stars are of 2 types: 1 is hot green! enameled star emblem for the pilotka side-cap. 2 is tin green painted star emblem for the pilotka side-caps (produced at the end of the war caused by deficiency of high-quality military emblems).
